Dandelion Dune Bunnies

Although I was born in Yorkshire and live there now I spent most of my childhood summers in Cornwall. My siblings and I were lucky to have family in Cornwall. Family who live only a few minutes from fabulous beaches. I have many fond memories of lazy summer days playing with my siblings and cousins in the dunes and rock pools. My aunt a born and bread Cornish lass is a fabulous cook and veteran forager. Did you know you can make soup with dandelion leaves?

There’s lots of opportunity for foraging when taking a walk along the cliff tops or amongst the dunes in Cornwall. There’s a little creak where we used to collect the best samphire I have ever tasted. Wild mushrooms along the cliffs and all sorts of foliage. Dandelion flowers are great fried in a light tempura batter. Bunny rabbits love to eat dandelions. As children we would watch the bunnies frolic and play in the dunes amongst the dandelions on our early morning walks.

Bonny

Bonny

Dandelion Dune Bunnies are bouncy, boisterous and fun. They love to hang out with the Bramble Wood Bears as they are of a similar size and can consequently share waistcoats. This makes them 22cm to 26cm when standing. Depending on what their ears are up to! However unlike the rabbits in Cornwall the Dandelion Dune Bunnies don’t actually like sand! So they are quite happy to hang out will you at hame. On your dressing table or in amongst the books on your book shelf.

Buntin

Like Jacqueline’s bear collections the Dandelion Dune Bunnies are made from 100% luxurious mohair, are cotter pin jointed and have glass eyes. Unlike Jacqueline’s bears, the Dandelion Dune Bunnies have large brown eyes instead of black. Their feet pads and inside ears are made of cashmere making them supper soft to touch. Just like a real bunny.
