Scheduled Small Group Workshops
Jacqueline’s Bears invites you to indulge yourself in some creative ME time. Would you like a little time to step away from your day-to-day routine? Surround yourself with like minded people? Learn new skills and bring home a truly stunning new friend? Never made bears before? Then try our beginners bear making workshops. Had a go before but would like to learn more and take your skills to the next level? We have lots of mohair and patterns to choose from. Or would you like to a bunny?
Milo or Nico – Beginner Bears
If this is your first workshop with Jacqueline we advise that you make Milo or Nico, one of our beginner bears. These bears are made using ratniee mohair which is dense and multi directional therefore very forgiving for the beginner bear maker.
Roxy – an Intermediate Bear
Once you have established some basic bear making skills we suggest Rozy who is designed with the intermediate bear maker in mind. Roxy has dense fur which is directional therefore more challenging to work with, taking your bear making skills to the next level.
One of a Kind – Advanced Bears
After that come and try a One Of A Kind bear. Jacqueline will have a selection of mohair and ultra suede for you to choose from. You can mix and match to create a bear that is totally unique to you. Nobody will have a bear like yours.
Tilly & Toby – Advanced Bears
Or maybe you would like to try a small bear such as Tilly or Toby. These two adorable bruins have more delicate features and are made using sparse mohair.
There are therefore 3 elements that make Tilly and Toby bears for the more experienced bear maker. They are smaller, have detail that needs special attention and a more challenging mohair to work with.
Bonny & Buntin – Advanced Bunnies
Or, maybe you would like to try and make a bunny? Dandelion Dune Bunnies are made using a variety of mohair. They are great friends with the Bramble Wood bears and are a similar size. So they can share waistcoats.
Even though the Dandelion Dune bunnies are the same size as the Bramble Wood Bears they have more complex elements to the design and more challening mohair making them suitable to someone with some existing bear making experience.
